Email Autoresponders – What They Are and How They Work

Written by Author on December 13th, 2009

The money is in the list – that’s what the gurus have always been saying, and they are right.

The subscriber list, that is. But how do you build a big list of subscribers and send them your latest business offers, without having to buy bulk email leads and become a spammer?

Email auto-responders are the answer. On our site we have many email auto responder review, including Aweber autoresponder review, GetResponse review and also a review of 1ShoppingCart autoresponders. We also compare autoresponders side-by-side so you can choose the one that you can get started with right away.

But lets not get too ahead of ourselves here. Are you reading this article? Great, I was starting to think that you’re not?

Autoresponders allow you to automatically send email messages based on a predetermined time

Other than the initial email, you can also set to automatically send out further emails based on a time interval. New subscribers automatically get you emails.

See I told you its amazing? But that’s not the whole story here.

Autoresponders also let you customize and personalize your emails, so you can actually greet your subscribers using their real name, making it seem as if you sent that email personally when in reality you sent the same email to thousands of people.

Hosted autoresponders, autoresponder scripts, and desktop autoresponders – those are the three types available today. They are not the same at all in terms of how they work. What you choose is really up to you.

A word of caution though  if you plan to use an autoresponder script to send emails, make sure you have the correct web hosting for autoresponder scripts or risk losing a lot of data.

As soon as possible go and get yourself an Aweber or GetResponse account. It will be the best bang for busk in your online business venture believe it or not.
