Sprinting is a form of high intensity interval training that almost every female sprinter is forced to do. The reason they do it is to increase strength and speed on the track however this type of workout leads to their amazing bodies. Below is an example of a sprinting cardio routine that can be adjusted to be done on a treadmill.

  • Warm up by jogging about 100 meters and then walk back to your starting point.
  • Do this about 2-3 times but each time jog a little bit faster than the previous time.
  • On your 5th set run as fast as you can but start by jogging the first 25 meters then break into a full sprint. 
  • Walk back and repeat 4 more times and the give yourself a five minute cool-down.
