Hoser Classic All Conditions Work Boot Is Enough For Me
Written by Author on October 8th, 2009Being asked to take a look at and write about a boot from the Muck Boot Company, the Hoser Classic Work Boot, I was hesitant. I’ve written about literally hundreds of different styles and makes of boots and I figured this was going to be just an average write up. I was also told that this boot was quite a few years old in the market already, which is why it’s called “classic”.
When these Hoser boots were dropped on my front porch, I noticed right away that they had a decent quality to them. The way the sole and the upper were actually molded and blended together looked fantastic. Also on the boot was this nylon upper, which stretches and gives you that snug fit at the top.
When I was told that Muck Boots had reinvented the Hoser and promptly named it the Chore, they changed the look and feel, and the sales of the Hoser were still so strong that they continued to provide the boot to customers. This is real customer loyalty. It reminds me of when Coke changed their formula to compete with Pepsi and people made such a fuss that they had to offer the classic also. Well, this wasn’t quite that media intense, but it is impressive.
After I walked around with my new boots on for about thirty minutes or so, I was relieved to find that there were no pressure points and no signs of impending blisters. The rubber compound is very pliable so there is essentially no break in period as with leather. Now that I’ve worn these particular Muck Boots, I feel better about writing a few good words about them. I don’t want to give them up.
