Is MLM A Smart Move?

Written by Me MLM-er on March 20th, 2010

Is it a wise move to join mlm? Most folks say MLM will not make any money, however let’s contrast the mlm business system with a regular Job and see which one is the most profitable move.

So why exactly would anyone want to join the MLM industry? There has been a lot of bad press around, people getting ripped off by those who bring them into the business, being stereotyped with an illegal pyramid schemes and just generally carrying a stigma. People often get sceptical anytime you mention Multi Level Marketing to them.

The question I want to ask you here is…’Do YOU think MLM sucks?’

Here are some comparisons which will illustrate things better The large majority of society is working for someone else, building their employers empire and probably will do so until the age of 60-65, in the UK where I am, the annual wage per anum per person averages around £23,800 which equates to around $36K in the US. Undoubtedly there are many folks bringing home more than this but I just want to focus on the averages for now. The standard working week is around 35-40 hours per week and you need to be there for all of them to make sure that you keep getting paid.

I want to take a quick look at the MLM business model. By marketing products and building a team of other people to do the same you are able to create an income for yourself. The network marketing deal I am a member of provides products that really empower people’s lives, so it’s a great product to sell and people love it. Each time I get a new customer I will earn $45 per 30 days. Even if over the next year I was only able to find 100 new customers then my earnings are going to be $4,500 each month which equates to more than the average wage.

Naturally I am not going to be content with that I would try for 200, 300 and more sales during the course of a year. It wouldn’t then take much for me to earn an extra $1500 in residual income each month, I would just need those 100 people to make one product sale each. Each sale they make get I earn $15. To top up my earnings I will also receive an income of 3% of their teams sales volumes, bear in mind that my first level has no limits on how wide it can grow. All of this might seem pie in the sky, but just imagine if you were selling a product that changes people’s lives and the products and opportunity overall had a retention rate of 93%.

This is a system with some great potential don’t you think?

You also need to remember the systems that are available to us on the internet and the leverage that it offers us. Massive residual income can be built, we have access to literally millions of potential leads and customers online. The potential really is very exciting.

Now I don’t know of any other business model which has the power to build a residual income like this. MLM is not some kind of get rich quick scheme so I have been very conservative in my comparison figures. Large incomes can be made in mlm but you need to have a long term vision. Several smart marketers are earning over $10,000 every week in the network marketing business. Whilst surfing the waves outside his home in Costa Rica my mentor earned $28K in 2 weeks! I’m sure he won’t have any objection to me telling you that he started his business online about 7 months ago with only a budget of $250!.

Smart individuals join mlm for the right reasons. They join ethical companies with products that transform lives. They build powerful futures for themselves.
