Networking is a term that didn’t exist (academically) till virtually forty years ago. It is a word uttered in and across the enterprise world every day, but is unclear to most as to the way it truly works. Still, it’s a fundamental device to the success of any business.

By definition, the time period networking is the event and maintenance of mutually invaluable relationships. It’s not schmoozing; it isn’t simply handing out enterprise playing cards, selling, advertising and marketing or small talk. These activities are part of networking, however unfortunately, many people’s misunderstanding of the time period causes them community ineffectively.

The next are The 7 Habits of Extremely Horrible Networkers(TM), and they can stand within the in your way of creating mutually useful relationships. Behavior 1: Angle

I ended useless in my tracks. I seemed again at the head desk and seen that one of my playing cards landed within the centerpiece…

…which was a candle!
